It’s time to stop calling it “Classic Plus” — we now know that World of Warcraft’s next MMO is World of Warcraft Forever, an expanded version of Classic with a lot more content and a new expanding version of the vanilla world. And it’s coming November 4th with a beta starting this coming Thursday.
World of Warcraft Forever will keep the level cap at 60, but a whole lot is going to change. This is “a new permanent home, a new beginning that never ends,” said Holly Longdale. “We’re giving you another way to play wow that’s friendly familiar and new.”
This version of the MMO features over a thousand new quests, expanded zones, new zones (Mount Hyjal, Zephras Isle, Riverglades), more dungeons, 10 and 20-player raids, new class/quest combos, new skills and talents, the Darkspear Islands battleground, an SD/HD toggle for your main character, world visual improvements, and, oh yeah, a new race with the Skyborne.
“Carve new paths and explore unseen corners of Azeroth in World of Warcraft: Forever, our new, third World of Warcraft experience alongside Modern and Classic. Forever launches November 4 (Beta starts September 17) with three new zones, over 1,000 new quests, nine new dungeons, two new raids, the new Skyborne race, and so much more.”
