Survival Games Conan Exiles Enhanced and Aloft Coming to PS5 in Early 2027

Today, Funcom has revealed Conan Exiles Enhanced, the reworked current-gen version of 2018’s hit MMO game, and colourful survival game Aloft are both coming to PS5 in early 2027, with the former also making the jump to Xbox Series X/S.

“We’ve heard loud and clear from our console community that they want to experience the Enhanced version of Conan Exiles. We’re very happy to finally confirm that it’s on the way, and we can’t wait for players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S to experience the Exiled Lands at their best,” said Funcom CEO Scott Junior.

The official announcement also includes mention of full cross-play, a feature that will bring together all platforms “at launch or soon after” alongside Enhanced’s improved visuals, better character models, upgraded lighting, and more. Overall, Conan Exiles’ latest iteration ensured the survival MMO remains attractive for more years, but more performance improvements were included as well. Expansion content was also merged into the core experience for more seamless gameplay.

Meanwhile, Aloft – a “co-op sandbox survival game set in a world of floating islands” – will be launching on PS5 when it leaves Steam Early Access in early 2027. Astrolabe Interactive has grown into a full studio after the game’s first steps, and it seems plans for the friendlier survival game are only starting, as Astrolabe’s developers already talk of a “new beginning” for Aloft when it hits 1.0 next year.

The announcement arrives after another wave of layoffs at publisher Funcom, whose in-house development focus is said to be only on Dune: Awakening and Conan Exiles moving forward.
