Monsters & Memories plunges testers into The Deep weeks

Just weeks ahead of its October 1st early access launch, throwback-styled MMO Monsters & Memories pushed out its first major module: The Deep. This patch unlocked Deep Elves and Deep Gnomes for creation and opened up the Deep zones, such as the Great Cavern Sea and the Underdocks. However the developer stressed that all of these regions are still under construction.

Patch 0.29 also revamped the Paladin and Elementalist classes, added a forced solo challenge mode, introduced a new spellbook UI, and included more housing options.

The studio also put out a deep dive of the Paladin class following that major rework, saying, “Consecrations are a major new mechanic for Paladins to interact with, and offer a combination of offensive and defensive benefits. The Auras granted by Paladin have shifted around somewhat. Two new Oath abilities offer a way for the Paladin to defend a groupmate through sacrifice.”
